Finding Peace in the Busy Season
Welcome to Whispers of December — a gentle space for slow moments, grounding practices, and peaceful reflections this season.
Is it just me, or is the end of the year approaching way too fast?
I keep feeling like I’m trying to catch up. The early darkness confuses my whole rhythm — it looks like 9 p.m. outside, but the clock says 5 p.m., and suddenly my body is ready to climb into bed because it feels so much later than it really is.
And when the holidays come around? Whew.
Budgets start acting chaotic. Christmas gifts add up. Then the early-December birthdays roll in — and you know those kids basically get double the gifts. 😂
As the days get shorter and time seems to move faster, I’ve had to remind myself to breathe.
To write things down.
To check things off slowly, intentionally.
Because if I’m being honest, life has been chaotic — sometimes the good chaos that brings joy, and sometimes the kind that drains you mentally, physically, and emotionally.
So here’s my gentle reminder to you:
Find peace and quiet whenever you can, even if it’s only for a few moments.
To the moms hiding in the bathroom for a minute of silence — yes, that counts.
To the ones locking the bedroom door behind you — that counts too.
To anyone feeling stretched thin: breathing helps.
A short meditation helps.
A quick walk.
A five-minute stretch.
Calling a friend.
A small journal moment.
A 5-minute “mood boost” music session.
Even in the midst of chaos, peace is still obtainable.
It doesn’t disappear, even on the days when it feels impossible to find.
