Whispers Through the Shift: Learning to Trust God in the Middle of Change

There are seasons in life when everything seems to shift at once.

Sometimes the changes are visible. A new job. A move. A growing child.

Other times, the shifts happen quietly within us.

The way we see ourselves.
The dreams we are grieving.
The expectations we are learning to release.
The faith we are trying to hold onto when life doesn't unfold the way we hoped.

Lately, I've found myself walking through several shifts at once. Some have stretched me. Some have broken my heart. Some have reminded me that healing is rarely a straight line.

And if I'm being honest, there have been days when I've wanted answers more than I've wanted patience.

What I've learned is that God doesn't wait for us at the destination.

He walks with us through the transition.

Through the waiting rooms.

Through the uncertainty.

Through the plans that changed.

Through the prayers that haven't been answered yet.

The shift itself is often where the growth happens.

Not because it's comfortable.

But because it teaches us to loosen our grip on control and lean more fully into faith.

There is something sacred about continuing to show up when you don't have all the answers.

Choosing hope when disappointment feels easier.

Choosing gratitude when life feels heavy.

If you're walking through a shift right now, I want to remind you of something:

You don't have to rush through this season.

You don't have to force clarity.

You don't have to pretend everything is okay.

You are allowed to grieve what was.

You are allowed to rest.

You are allowed to grow slowly.

Closing Prayer:

Lord, help me trust You in the transitions. When I can't see the full picture, remind me that You can. Give me peace for today, strength for tomorrow, and faith for the journey ahead. Amen.
