When God Feels Far Away, but You Know He’s Still Near
Sometimes it feels like I have strayed away from You, creating a distance that seems unexplainable. But Heavenly Father, I know that You are still with me, even when I stray.
There’s an emptiness within me that I cannot seem to shake. I’m tired—more than tired. I’m fatigued, and sometimes it feels like sleep alone cannot restore what I need.
Yet, I do not feel without strength, because You give me strength. The life You have given me gives me another opportunity each day to put one foot in front of the other, to keep going, to keep believing, and to keep finding my way back to You.
Thank You for everything You continue to do, including the things I may not recognize in the moment.
As this weekend comes to an end and I prepare for the week ahead, guide my steps. Ease the worries I may be carrying or even ignoring. Quiet the thoughts I haven't spoken aloud. Restore what feels depleted within me and help me find rest—not only for my body, but for my mind and spirit.
Your Word says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28
So today, Lord, I come to You.
May I enter this new week knowing I don't have to have everything figured out. I simply need to keep walking with You.
Amen. 🤍
