Women of the Bible: Faith That Reaches Out

As I continue my journey through scripture, the story of the woman with the issue of blood stood out to me in a powerful way.

Her story is one of persistence and quiet faith.

She had been suffering for years and had tried everything she could. Yet instead of giving up, she believed that even reaching out and touching Jesus’ garment could change her situation.

What stood out to me most is her determination.

She didn’t wait to be called. She didn’t let fear stop her. She moved forward in faith.

And when she did, Jesus acknowledged her and said that her faith had made her well.

Her story reminds me that sometimes faith requires us to take a step, even when we feel uncertain.

Sometimes it looks like reaching out, even when we don’t know exactly what will happen next.
