So much of The Whispered Word began with my son.

His big feelings, bold imagination, and gentle spirit showed me that even the tiniest voice carries powerful stories. He taught me that love doesn’t always look quiet—and that strength and softness can live in the same heart.

Our bedtime talks and real-life emotions became the roots of my first children’s books: When Strong Met Peace and Nah-MA Stay MAD. They were written as a love letter to him, but now they’re here for every child (and every parent) learning how to feel, grow, and be seen.

He’s the reason I write—and the reason I believe storytelling can shape how we understand ourselves.
