“You looking good, birthday girl!” My 4-year-old greets me with compliments, even when it’s nowhere near my birthday. If you tell him otherwise, he’ll argue that it is your birthday. He uses this same charm on all the ladies in his life.

Another recent one? “I’m proud of you, you did such a good job.” Like—sir, you’re four years old! But thank you for filling up my bucket with those unexpected (and perfectly timed) words.
