Whispers for the Heart in Transition
There are seasons that come quietly, and others that break us wide open. This week, I’ve been reflecting on those in-between places—the ones shaped by heartbreak, disconnection, and change.
Heartbreak isn’t always romantic. Sometimes, it’s the quiet unraveling of the life we thought we were building. It’s the goodbye we didn’t expect. The friendship that slowly fades. The version of ourselves we’ve outgrown.
Healing isn’t linear.
Some days you’ll feel strong and grounded. Other days, it takes everything to get out of bed. But still—you breathe.
Putting yourself first may come with guilt, especially if you’ve been conditioned to believe selflessness is the highest virtue. But self-preservation isn’t selfish. It’s sacred.
And growth? Real growth demands honesty. It asks us to ask hard questions:
What do I want now?
Who am I becoming?
What prayers am I afraid to whisper?
If you’re moving through a transition, here are some questions to sit with:
What am I being invited to release?
What truth have I been avoiding?
What does it look like to choose myself—without apology?
Where can I soften instead of striving?
You don’t need to have it all figured out.
One breath. One whisper. One brave step at a time
Whispers of grace,
DC
